Hour 25 has two important learning opportunities to share with the community.
HeroesX begins on January 6th
Join the 5th session of HeroesX on edX. The project site opens on January 6th 2016.
Participants will engage with the same timeless masterpieces as in the previous versions of the project, but Professor Nagy will provide all new discussion questions for each Hour. And he will continue to respond to your comments and questions during Office Hour videos. Enroll now!
Also, we have news about a travel opportunity. As a participant in HeroesX, you are eligible to participate in the Harvard Alumni travel program with Professor Nagy next June. HeroesX alumni receive a discounted rate. See details below.
Uncover Greece’s most important archaeological sites on an intergenerational trip
Join Professor Gregory Nagy and an intergenerational group of learners for a 10-day trip to Greece from June 9th–19th, 2016.
Explore ancient Greece through the lens of the ancient Greek hero while reading masterpieces of ancient Greek literature, from Homer to Plato. Participants will visit the birthplace of the Olympic games, the archaeological site in Delphi known as the Navel of Earth, the renowned National Archaeological Museum, and much more. This program provides meaningful and accessible travel opportunities to students and exposes alumni travelers to the Harvard College students of today. Special rates are available for HeroesX participants. A diverse audience of students, alumni, and expert leaders enlivens discussion and educational exchange.
